The Dolomites at Altitude
We climbed a road that switchbacked so hard I lost count, and parked where the peaks went the colour of coral as the sun left them. The Dolomites do this trick called enrosadira, the rock blushing pink and orange at dawn and dusk, and no photograph quite holds it. I tried anyway. This is where the van is right now, and I’m in no hurry to leave.
